Episode 18 - Passing the Mic and Gang Vocals

There is a tradition in the punk and hardcore scene of passing the mic and of the sing along power of gang vocals. Bands would point the mic out to the crowd and let them sing the songs and let them lead the show. So what does that look like in our classrooms and in education?

We have a responsibility to let our students take the mic and amplifying their voices! We also need to realize that as educators we have the power of a collective voice. That collective voice needs to be loud and needs to fight for justice in our classrooms. We can make change if we use the power of our "gang vocals" to be loud and advocate for our students. Mike and Josh talk about all of this and more on this new episode of the podcast.
